The Graveyard Shift

To commemorate my  100.000th pageview on DeviantArt, I began a contest, asking for themes for tg captions. The top three entries were awarded with captions inspired by their theme. This caption was the third prize.

A Rose for You

Fairytale, chapter IX

This is the last chapter of the Fairytale series. I remember it took quite some time to finish. Most of the work involved around concentrating the text. Each time I remove a word seems to invoke a new sentence. So it's been kind of two steps forward, one step back. But I've really enjoyed writing it, and I find the series caption concept gives much room for the narrative, which is my favourite part of captioning. I'll probably do even more series captions in the future.

It's time for a caption series again. This time it's a lot longer than "The Bet", and I am quite satisfied with it. I was trying to create a cross between my stories and captions, building up a story, characters and a plot. Ordinary captions leave too little room for this, unless your name is Hemingway.
